Compulsion were an Irish punk band formed in 1990 by Josephmary and Sid Rainey, formerly of Thee Amazing Colossal Men. They signed to Virgin but ended up suing the label and subsequently changed their name to Compulsion in 1992. They signed to One Little Indian and released their OLI debut in 1993, with Safety EP following later that year.
